چکیده

Future gas field development and prospect assessment depend on accurate reservoir parameter characterization. The understanding of the tight sand distribution Shanxi Taiyuan Formations within Hangjinqi area is ambiguous due to presence coal mudstone lithofacies, high heterogeneity, poor resolution seismic data. Thus, it difficult determine reservoir’s thickness. To cope with this challenge, we have employed advanced method constrained sparse spike inversion (CSSI) utilizing 3D nine wells for distinction sandstone facies from facies. Results petrophysical analysis studied well J54 show that are dominant towards T9c horizon, whereas present T9d horizon. obtained findings CSSI accurately identified spatial sand-ratio in zone interest (ZOI) lies between horizons. acoustic impedance (AI) shows lowest AI values, highest values. moderate values range 8.5 × 10 6 kg/m 2 s 1.20 7 s. map suggested mud facies, suggest maximum showed thickness ranges 0.65-0-95, value mostly 0 0.5 map. lower Formation has good characteristics. Whereas, Formation, low sand-ratio. regions targeted T9c-T9d layers should be exploited future explorations.

simulation of reservoir permeability using porosity and acoustic impedance data

permeability is a key parameter in reservoir characterization. in fact, without accurate information about reservoir permeability, there is no good solution for reservoir engineering problems. up to now, permeability values of a reservoir have been calculated through laboratory measurements or well testing methods. these methods are useful but they cannot describe a reservoir reliably and preci...

Production Analysis of Tight Sandstone Reservoir in Consideration of Stress-Sensitive Permeability

Received: August 22, 2016 Revised: February 07, 2017 Accepted: March 10, 2017 Abstract: Background: Tight sandstone reservoirs play an important role in the oil industry. The permeability of tight sandstone reservoir generally has stronger stress sensitivity than that of conventional reservoir because of the latter’s poor physical properties. However, the production analysis of tight sandstone ...

Geostatistical Prediction of Sand Distribution of Gas Reservoir in Jilin, China

This case study involves sand distribution prediction for the Gujiazhi and Houwujiahu gas fields in Jilin Province, China. Initial data analysis involved correcting and calibrating the well logs. Log data from 74 wells were available from the Gujiazhi field and the Houwujiahu field. This initial process also established 3-D porosity, permeability and clay volume models for each field. The Gujia...
